Ascetic house is a DIY art collective out of Tempe, AZ making experimental music bent towards bizarre surrealist soundscapes. The manifesto on their website reads “a new age is coming; fueled by science and aimed at revolution. In the wake of Futurism, Dadaism and Surrealism we look forward. Where they attempt to revolutionize art, we must revolutionize life. The road to freedom has always been stalked by death, yet with eternity at our back, we are beyond death.”
Experimenting with textures and electronics, the Ascetic House artists are all pushing boundaries in their work. Each artist has a different rendition of their medium, whether it be a dance track or an ambient drone, each song is using alternative means to express that medium.
