King Dude's own words on upcoming LP, new video, and US tour.

King Dude

King Dude is not an easy artist to make sense of—everything from his persona to the way his music sounds. He's both a modernist and a traditionalist, as well as a religious man, but only in the context of his self-created religion. He recently launched his own music label, Not Just Religious Music, to spread his particular gospel along with his contemporaries'. On May 6, the label will release his new album Fear, which he comments on in a press release:

I chose the next most obvious fear I felt everyone shared. And that is the fear felt during early adolescence. As we move away from our childhood towards our adulthood we (in a sense) watch helplessly from the confines of our own slowly deforming, prepubescent bodies as the “child-mind” is ripped away (or buried deeply into our subconscious) only to be replaced by the cruel, maniacal, sex crazed “adult-mind” also known as the ultimate product of a civilized adult world reality.

In advance of the LP release date, he's shared a video for the song “Fear Is All You Know.” It's pretty terrifying, in the way that makes you feel a sense of culpability for watching and, dare we say, enjoying.

He's set to tour with Ghost during April and May. Dates are below:
