Columbus, Ohio’s indie pop rock trio Nick D’ and The Believers is making waves right now with their latest EP Crown, which was released earlier this month.
The title track spent an impressive week as the top requested track at WWCD 102.5, known for being a tastemaker radio station. We can see why, as the mid-tempo track is catchy as all get out, despite the fact that its lyrics are melancholic in nature. (I mean, lyrics like “take away all my albums girl / but you said I never cut you that way / I never cut you that way… You’re lost to me now” don’t necessarily send positive vibes.) But we can absolutely see ourselves rocking out to the track at a live performance under the stars, so we’ll keep it – and the rest of the release – in our back pocket until Nick D’ and The Believers make a stop in our hometown.
Good news? They’re set to play a show at Mercury Lounge on October 26th, so those of you in the New York City will have a chance to see them live. Tickets are just $10, and they’re selling fast. Nab one now!
