Lately it seems like Stones Throw is out to keep us salivating for their releases. First it was Jonwayne's saltine album cover, now we've learned the Vex Ruffin debut is getting a cassette pressing on Burger Records. Mmm burger.
Released earlier this month and streaming here</a>, Vex Ruffin's debut broke new ground for Stones Throw. He was the first artist to be signed on an un-solicited demo and one of the first to seemingly have zero interest in hip hop. The partnership with Burger Records is a apt complimentary label for Ruffin's electro-punk and garage, loner pop musings. As part of the special deal, if you purchase the vinyl from the Stones Throw store, the label will throw in the cassette for free. If you just want the cassette though, it can be purchased directly from Burger.
