The Brooklyn-based, multi-faceted art and music collective The Epoch has announced an evening at the Film Society of Lincoln Center on February 19. The event is part of a series called “Staring at Sound”, which “explores the connections between music and film through a series of intimate concerts featuring live music and original video work.” Recently profiled in detail here on Impose, The Epoch includes Bellows, Eskimeaux, Told Slant, Florist, Small Wonder, as well as a number of other bands and visual artists. The collective will be screening a documentary that engages with the pathos of the collective, in addition to giving visual insight into their creative processes. It was shot by Richard Gin. After the screening, there will be live performances and commentary from many of the aforementioned Epoch bands, as well as other members of the collective. Tickets are $10; more information can be found here.
