Despite this step back to old Bill, It seems The Hour of Reprisal will continue Bill's obsession with being a heavy metal rapper. The album boasts collaborations with Bad Brains and Killswitch Engage. Likewise the album art was done by legendary artist Larry Carroll, who is notorious for his controversial Slayer cover artwork, which includes the classic Reign In Blood.
