The Beat L.A. compilation due out July 26 on Narnack/Greatminds is a pretty impressive roster of that city's current cool kids and it takes on the admirable task of covering the better musical moments of the area's past. Obviously this means the Minute Men and Cheech and Chong.
Crystal Antler's version of Black Randy & the Metrosquad's “I Slept in an Arcade” is great:

Good news: the compilation's proceeds go to Doctors Without Border's efforts in Haiti.
