In September 2014, musician Mac DeMarco spent a few days in Toronto since his record, Salad Days, was nominated for the 2014 Polaris Music Prize. Photographer Laura-Lynn Petrick captured Mac on film before and after the award ceremony, where he performed with his backing band of Juan Wauters and Ryan Boyce. DeMarco lost to Tanya Tagaq’s Animism but judging by these images which also feature Calvin Love and Win Butler of Arcade Fire, we think he had a pretty good time anyway.
