Last fall, we heard two new singles from Brooklyn’s Chimes, “Rinso” and “Total Sunflower” off the band’s record Psychic Slack. Now, the 4-piece has created a video for the latter song. It’s a prog-inspired track with an equally psychedelic visual counterpart. The short film features kaleidoscopic filters, doodled animations, and a reoccurring fistful of sunflower seeds. Parts of the video were filmed at the Manhattan DIY venue NoLa Darling, a space run by the band’s bassist Winston Scarlett. Scarlett also recently released a dynamic zine on race, art, and pain, which we wrote about here.
