UK's soft-spoken indiepop quartet Fear of Men have released a striking new video for "Luna", the lead single off debut album, Loom, out April 22 on Kanine Records. Directed by Weiss and Falvey with 4eyes TV (who did videos for their other singles, "Seer" and "Mosaic"), they take influence from the performance art of Marina Abramović, adapting elements from pieces Rest Energy and Dragonhead. The visuals do a bit of White Stripes-esque color blocking with red and white, but the video concept steers away from the abrasive, toward the emo and artful, befitting lyrics like "you are unbearable memories when I sleep." Images such as paint exploding out of a white ceramic vase, and a giant snake draped around singer Jessica Weiss' neck stay on the mind in subliminal flashes. The band goes on tour this Spring with The Pains of Being Pure at Heart. Stream the video above, and check out tour dates below.
