The Falling Birds, "Cinders in the Breeze"

Post Author: Meredith Schneider

Brooklyn’s rock and roll duo The Falling Birds – comprised of the multi-talented Stephen Artemis and David Burton – unveil the music video for their song “Cinders in the Breeze” today, and we’ve got the exclusive premiere. When you get the inside information that the video was shot over a twelve hour timespan on their way back from a show in Massachusetts – and that the guys used a handheld camera to film the entire thing themselves – you feel like this video is a glimpse into their world.
A beautiful skyline, warmth provided by the changing colors of the sky and a hint of the glistening sun. The guys in their element, playing the song in front of a roaring fireplace. The video concept is so simple in its live performance display, compounded by lyrics like “simple things and a simple life / an ugly dog and a pretty wife.” There is a definite country twang to the song, as the video focuses on connecting with yourself, garnering the viewer an appreciation of a breath of fresh air in the countryside.
What Is There to Talk About is out February 17th. Keep up with The Falling Birds here.
