Les Savy Fav don't really tour like they used to. They've entered their family-roosting videographer stage of their lives. They've got a few dates spread out over the winter, but hopefully VH1 will keep using Tim Harrington as slap stick fodder.
Proving their mettle at mocking up a hard rock band's swipe at The Big Time has us day dreaming about Christopher Guest remaking Spinal Tap for a new generation of kids who weren't around for hair metal. “Magazines, TVs, everyone's gonna be there!” gasps Mr. Harrington as their van approaches Randall's Island.
Harrington makes graphics for VH1 and I guess one day someone realized his band is mildly famous, and that he owns a toupee:
