Asthmatic Kitty's Unusual Animals project has flowered from a roaming party hosting national and local musicians alike into a permanent art space in Indianapolis's Harrison Center for the Arts (while UA parties continue to spring up nationally). In order to fund the new space, they're calling on all artists to contribute an 8.5 x 11″ two-dimensional depiction of clouds, to be sold for twenty dollars during a January exhibition at which all proceeds will go towards purchasing equipment for future shows. Contact info for that project below.
Along with events in Portland and Houston thrown this past Saturday, the permanent gallery space will host its first event on Halloween, with performances by Castanets, Cryptacize, Deer Tick, and Bronze Float for an exhibition titled Cascades, featuring the art work of UA curator Cindy Hinant.
Thinking of sending one of them clouds?
