Vibrissae ‘sSomewhere Away will be available August 19 from Vipchoyo Sound Factory, and we bring you an advance listen courtesy of the Portland, Oregon group. The rides begins with the intro of “Whiskers”, sailing in full swing on “Never Again”, the tension of “Incident Report” while “Bulan” and the ethereal “Not Forever” bring us to the electro suites of “Crooked Stripe” & “Crooked Smile” before “Need” sends out a blast that leaves the listeners at the end of the event with “Somewhere Away”. This is for all pop enthusiasts that seek the thrills of audio-adventurism in all albums enjoyed & aurally ingested.

Zen Mantra presents the Ben Dodd, Frances Carter, Sam Perry, & Lily McRae video for “Remember You At All” off the debut album available now from Flying Nun Records that brings about inspirations from the The Fog and more. Sam Perry from Yumi Zouma brings about cryptic & occultic elements in sound that are translated to visions that keep this aesthetic and vibe intact.

His Clancyness just dropped the video for the a-side from the recent Maple Death 7″ Pale Fear / Coming Up Empty from Italian photographer/visual artist Giulia Mazza (and also part of His Clancyness) that was shot in the group’s Bologna stomping grounds. Follow a bandana & sunglasses shaded Jonathan & the band as they run about town, occupying parks, hopping fences, picking flowers, and just enjoying the thrills of the great outdoors. Following our masked protagonist, fans get an impromptu tour of the Bologna, Italy they never know as his regal Clancyness himself unmasks his goth-glam-vampirical visage. Things become more eradict in the “Pale Fear” video as Jonathan transforms all misgivings into an art film oddity that ends with our hero washing off all of his makeup.

Tunesmith Max Greenhalgh & Bryce Outcault are San Diego’s Inspired & the Sleep who deliver the darling pop dulcets of “Sweet Company” that provides complimentary accompaniment for whatever you have going on in your life at this very moment. The follow-up to last year’s Eyelid Kid; Max & Bryce keep the inspiration brewing as they hone in on a greater economy of electric arrangements that sparkle with the romantic glow of clandestine moments & memories that are conveyed & retold through spirit & song.

Get your weekend started right with John Robinson’s Ryan Calvano for LessIsMore Visuals video for the super styling “True School Stylin’” from his Water the Plants EP. Featuring Lonnie Gordon vocals that kick to JR’s knowledge that dovetails with some new school meets the old school party-bap compliments of DJ Gargamel keeping the entire party kicking hard.

From keys & understated beats, Two People seek more hellos than goodbyes if time & fate allows where the audience is brought to a “take it or leave it” crossroads.

50FOOTWAVE is Kristin Hersh and Bernard Georges (from Throwing Muses) joined by Rob Ahlers who recently followed up With Love From The Men’s Room with the Bath White EP available now via Happy Happy Birthday To Me Records. The LA based legends continue the story with the alabaster smashing title track, deity musings on the humorous “God’s Not A Dick” (that is the greatest thing they never put out on 4AD), the howling & hammering “Human”, to something for the squealers with “Ratted Out”, rocking with righteous vigor on “St. Christopher”, right before wailing their way into the eye of the fiery planet on “Sun Salute”.

The Head and the Heart keep that feel-good sun shining and all the warm feels flowing with the bookworm wandering wonder of “Library Magic” that will take you back to that nostalgic place where the Dewey Decimal System still meant something to a world that wasn’t yet obsessed with digital databases.

Dreller just delivered third single for Terrible Records with “A Signal That Comes Back” that shines electronic flares of fiery light to add some extra UV warmth for the sun’s summer-y rays.

Kllo presented the Hamish Mitchell video for the sensuous dance beats of “Walls To Build” found off the forthcoming Well Worn EP available August 5 from Ghostly International.
