I don’t know what a transporterreum is—or what would make it super—but it sounds big. Fittingly, Menace Beach’s newest track sounds massive, too. The Leeds-based band has delivered another healthy dose of their garage rock on steroids in “Super Transporterreum”. Straightforward chord progressions and uncomplicated drums fit the song’s distortion and relentless catchiness like a glove, and its chorus is impossible to forget: It just repeats the title over and over. It’s dead easy to sing along to, and trust me, you’ll want to join in.
Still riding the wave from their January debut, Ratworld, Menace Beach have unleashed “Super Transporterreum” as the lead single and title track for an EP due in September. They’ve found the golden, not-so-secret recipe for infectious earworms and we should all be glad they’re churning them out as fast as they are.
The Super Transporterreum EP is out September 25 on Memphis Industries.
