Say hello to the song you're about to jam nonstop all summer long. The Mantles, who have an impressive repertoire of psychy garage pop tracks, have released “Hello”, a song from their upcoming Long Enough to Leave record. The tone is rich, ebullient, and slightly revivalist, as if its a song we have heard before, maybe its a time-traveling Zombies or 13th Floor Elevators deep cut. The playful melodies and childish alto harmonies make for a pleasant take on polished-up garage pop. Not to mention those shiny little guitar solos that are strewn throughout it. It's a jammer, all right, and probably your best bet for the first track on that summer love mix you're making.
The Mantles' latest comes out on June 18 through Slumberland Records, and you can preorder it here, while catching the band at the tour dates listed below.
