“Alien-pop” duo Blanche, Blanche, Blanche announce new record Wooden Ball with Vermont-based NNA Tapes. Brattleboro's Sarah Smith and Zach Phillips have become known for their prolific, if unusual, approach to songwriting in years past. Having released four albums in 2012 alone, Wooden Ball has been slated as the bands first full-length for the new year. While a bit more crisp and clear than previous recordings, “Rich Man,” the latest track from Smith and Phillips, follows up on the bands synth-pop tradition, creating a playful mix of psychedelic absurdity and catchy melody that leaves the listener wondering what planet he/she is actually on.
