Madlib just announced that his label, Madlib Invazion, will release the second half of a two-part installment to his global odd-rock “Beat Konducta” series. Rock Konducta Pt. 2, due out on vinyl July 8. Following last year's Pt. 1, Pt. 2 will complete the fifth installment in the producer's sample excavation, mining far corners of international underground rock oddities from the '60s, '70s and '80s. Previous releases in the series tap into German Krautrock, acid-eating Spanish prog, American psychelia and Zambian “Zamrock.”
The announcement of Rock Konducta Pt. 2 comes with two new tracks, “Black Dreams (Sludge Fight)” and “Deeper” featuring Freddie Gibbs and Piñata.
