It's been two years since Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire signed to Universal Republic, releasing the Power And Passion EP under the label—of which he denounced—and last year's Kismet mixtape—his return to form. Based on the picture above, eXquire is as mischievious as the day he arrived on our radar and while no release date for this full length debut exists, the Brooklyn rapper is keeping his fans fed with a Sunday freestyle series entitled Bootleg Liquor on a Sunday Night.
Below is his official announcement of the series:
First up is “Whirlwind Pyramid”, which according to eXquire's verse is presumably when you enhale DMT through gas mask and see visions of Mayans. While the majority of “Whirlwind Pyramid” is eXquire bragging and flexing a penchant for intricate details, he slips into a lucid vision of his gentrifying surroundings that is an open wound for many New Yorkers: “this for my niggas just came home with CD Walkmen on the train / waiting for the Asian lady with the battery / Shit, ain't no Asian lady with the battery / New York gentrified… turn your building into a condo / turn your block to a mirage / like a 20 year zenith, I seen it.”
Stay tuned to eXquire's Youtube station eXquoManiaRulez and his Soundcloud for Sunday updates on the series.
