Pink Skull is back, following 2009's Endless Bummer with Psychic Welfare, physically out September 13 on RVNG Intl., digitally emerging from “the drab internet universe” two weeks later on September 27. The Philly electro once-duo keeps expanding; they've gained two new members (who are responsible for programming and bass/programming) since they picked up a permanent drummer, bassist, and guitarist for Endless Bummer.
Keeping with the theme of expansion, the album promises an experience in which “the listener can navigate from the corroded corners of machinated life to boundless, amorphous space in mere seconds.” In case you need a visual to help clarify that idea, RVNG Intl. has released a promo video literalizing this: it's dizzying montage of pop culture sludge overlaid with nebulous animations.
Also out today is a newly downloadable woozily cheerful disco-y single, “Bee Nose” as well as the sudden announcement that Pink Skull will be playing at Camp Bisco this weekend.
