Danish musician Karen Marie Ørsted, aka MØ, just released an energetic new track. “Glass” begins with cascading synths and a banging hip hop beat before the lady, herself, delves in with her lustful voice and Scandinavian howls. The track is incredibly layered with many fortifying textures and pleasing samples.
We hear the love child of Grimes, Phantogram, and Purity Ring; which should come as a compliment considering those are three of today's most eminent electronic groups lead by female vocalists. However, MØ's stab at the genre is more refreshing than her overplayed counterparts.
“Pilgrim” will be released in the U.S. through Neon Gold and in the U.K. via Chess Club. We look forward to more from MØ, including tour dates to come.
