Woods, the ambitious folk jammers from New York, have announced their sixth full-length album, Sun & Shade, to be released June 14 on their own Woodsist label. Recorded entirely at the new Woodsist Headquarters in upstate New York, Sun & Shade features a helping hand from west-coaster Glenn Donaldson (Art Museums, Jewelled Antler).
Expect to hear Woods drift toward psychedelic and kraut-rock tensions while keeping their back-porch hippie vibe and deranged vocal melodies. They'll be touring throughout Europe this month, if you're lucky enough, maybe you'll catch them playing some new tunes.
