Here's another in an ongoing series of white dudes remixing old hip hop, this time with Diplo and Don Rimini doing Young MC's “Bust A Move”. The refresher tracks see the frisky sample-heavy original padded with a dense layer of club-ready dance music. Gone is Flea's bass line and another use of the classic “Scorpio” congo break-down. Enter, Justice-grade beat fuel circa 2008.

The remixes come as part of the Delicious Vinyl RMXXOLOGY series of 12″. Peaches did a version of Tone-Loc's “Wild Thing” and LaCrate & Samir did Young MC's “Know How” and Masta Ace's “Jeep Ass N*&@”. This is the classic record label reaching out to producers to do their updated takes on these hip hop / pop regulars, so everyone should be happy.
