As it stands right now, Virginia Beach is a strange enough place (Watch this dude dressed as Spiderman fight potholes or this dope U.F.O sighting or crustaceans in a foot race?). So what could make it better but “a metaphysical never-ending jawbreaker of vibe curation”?
Justin Frye of PC Worship is making his way to the tourist-trap/beachy-wonder on June 27 to help put on Logstradamus 2015, a free and self-described “weirdo” music festival and surfing contest. What started out in 2013 as just a contest and small concert has spawned into vendors, bands, bagpipes, impromptu hangouts with mariachis, and more wizardly surf maneuvers.
This year the music portion of the festival is set to include Horse Lords, Cloak/Dagger, psychedelic Philadelphia natives Spacin’, and The Seeers, just to name a few. All the proceeds from merch and the surf contest and will be going directly to the local children’s Hospital (CHKD).
Convene there! The rules are simple.
1. Bring a bucket, make a castle, destroy it like Godzilla
2. Bring your family, especially the weird ones
3. Dress like you mean it, wear your mom’s sunglasses
4. Stay tuned and pruned.
