Most people traveling to South Florida during Miami Art Week are expecting a decadent experience, after all, it is mostly the wealthy who can afford to make a living from their art. But for those who seek art where it lives in one of its truest forms; as a body of free expression through improvisational performance, then may we suggest taking a stroll to Churchill’s pub this Friday, December 4.
Look Alive Fest has unveiled the lineup for the evening’s events, and it would be an understatement to say it’s a strong bill. Featuring noise and electronic luminaries Silver Apples and Wolf Eyes, the night will also feature Ava Mendoza, Eartheater, GDFX, Snakehole, Treasure Teeth, and Other Body. Tickets for the show are $15 in advance, and $18 at the doors, which will open at 9pm. You can purchase tickets in advance here.
And check out Nina Mashurova’s feature interview with Eartheater and Sam Lefebvre’s take on Wolf Eyes performance on Devil’s Night at Third Man Records.
